| 2 | Nairobi-Tree Hotel | Today leave Nairobi early in the morning to reach a small town of Nyeri. After a sumptuous lunch at the base hotel, the tour leaves for a tree hotel early in the afternoon. (In case of Mountain Lodge, guest arrive directly at the lodge for lunch). The afternoon is spent watching the early arrival of animals at the waterhole and salt lick, usually antelopes. | 3 | Tree Hotel – Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club | Today a short drive brings you to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, which is situated at the foot of Mount Kenya (17,058 feet). Here you can have a day of total relaxation in the beautiful landscaped gardens. Activities include golf, tennis, horse-back riding and swimming in the heated swimming pool. | 4 | Mount Kenya – Lake Nakuru | This morning cross over the top of the Aberdare range of mountains, stopping briefly to gaze at the 73m Thompson’s Falls, named after Joseph Thompson the Scots explorer, who was the first European to see the Falls in 1884. Continue to Nakuru for lunch. After lunch, drive around Lake Nakuru National Park for an unforgettable sight of the thousands of flamingos on the alkaline lake. The park also includes the rare white rhinos. The other large animal to be seen is the Rothschild’s giraffe. | 6 | Masai Mara | A full day of game viewing and exploring in this Kenya’s finest reserve or alternatively a morning game drive followed by an afternoon swim in the cool water of the hotel swimming pool followed by yet another game drive. You may witness the lion making a kill or a leopard enjoying the meal he had dragged up the tree with him. The vegetation is mostly savanna type with forested areas near the rivers and of course the dwarf acacias to cater for the giraffes.
